DJ Vadim

DJ VADIM needs little introduction. The globe-trotting DJ and producer, one-time Ninja Tune hip-hop stalwart and now top rankin’ dubwise producer will bring the party with his blend of rocksteady, dancehall, dub and jungle… a dream booking for Wee Dub Hogmanany. J-MAN will hold the mic for his, recently introduced to Edinburgh ravers at the last Mungo’s dance. Big!

KING YOOF & MC SPEE (DREADZONE)

Representing Sub Slayaz and Chopstick Dubplate, London’s KING YOOF is back in Scotland with his cunning bass heavy mix of dubwize rollaz and jungle fire, joined on the microphone by none other than MC SPEE of Dreadzone fame, exclusive combination for the Wee Dub massive.

ELECTRIKAL SOUND

Wee Dub family is no stranger to ELECTRIKAL. Their soundsystem powers the show in the main room, but they have been making big news this year with their DJ sets, packed with big dubplates and heavy selections joining the dots between reggae and grime. They kick off what it going to be a massive year with Wee Dub.

NEM b2b ASTROJAZZ

Getting things underway downstairs we have Wee Dub regular NEM and co-promoter ASTROJAZZ going head to head in a rootical fashion and building up the place to the bells.

J-MAN

Joining VADIM and ELECTRIKAL on the mic we have recruited the fast rising skills of Bristol’s J-MAN. Recently seen alongside Eva Lazarus at our last Mungo’s dance, he effortlessly crosses the boundaries of rap, ragga and jungle styles, and packs nuff punch to fire up the floor.

ESCAPE ROOTS SOUND ft. TOM SPIRALS

Another Wee Dub regular, ESCAPE ROOTS star has risen high this year with sets right across the UK and Europe and a string of releases on his More Free Vibe label. Joined by the irrepressible TOM SPIRALS they will be giving you and exclusive live dub set in a positive action and digital style to kick off 2017.

SAMEDIA SHEBEEN

Hosting the upstairs space at Studio 24, Scotland’s #1 exponent of tropical dance are installing their micro-venue and dropping the good time music all night long, spanning hot hot hot rhythms from Africa, Latin America, Brazil, Middle East and beyond.
